MMOexp ARC Raiders: Preparation Tips Before Starting

Not every mission in ARC Raiders is about high-stakes combat or emergency response. Some quests add a bit of personality to the world, and Movie Night is a great example. In this quest, Apollo is hoping to unwind with some classic films, but-as usual-nothing in Stella Montis comes easy. To make Movie Night happen, you'll need to venture into ARC Raiders Coins one of the most dangerous areas on the map to recover old movie tapes, then track down a Portable TV and safely extract with both items.
Because this quest requires you to leave the raid alive with the ARC Raiders Items in your inventory, preparation is key. Below, we'll walk you through where to find everything you need and how to minimize risk along the way.
Preparation Tips Before Starting
Before deploying into Stella Montis, consider equipping an augment with two safe pockets. This is strongly recommended, as it allows you to secure both the movie tapes and the Portable TV even if you're eliminated before extraction. Without safe pockets, losing either item means starting the entire process over again.
Additional tips before you drop in:
Avoid heavy combat builds; mobility and stealth are more valuable here.
Bring healing items in case you need to disengage quickly.
Plan your extraction route in advance so you're not wandering after looting the objectives.
Once you're ready, load into Stella Montis and begin your search.
Where to Find the Old Movie Tapes
The old movie tapes are located in the Cultural Archives, one of the most dangerous points of interest on the Stella Montis map. This area is frequently packed with ARC enemies, including Ticks, Fireballs, and even Shredders, making it a risky stop-especially if other players are nearby.
The Cultural Archives are centrally located, and there are multiple ways to access them depending on where you enter the map. You might:
Take the zipline down just past the Business Center.
Travel up or down the staircases connecting the Seed Vault and the Atrium.
Approach from side entrances, depending on your spawn.
Thanks to its connectivity, the Archives are easy to reach but difficult to clear safely.
Once inside the Cultural Archives, head toward the southwestern corner of the area. Look for a doorway that leads to a staircase-right beside it, you'll find a pile of furniture covered with a white sheet. This object is easy to miss if you're rushing, so slow down and scan the corner carefully.
Interact with the covered furniture to collect the old movie tapes. As soon as you have them, place them into a safe pocket if possible. This location is often contested, so lingering can quickly turn dangerous.
Where to Find a Portable TV
With the movie tapes secured, your next objective is to find a Portable TV. These items are not unique to Stella Montis and can be found in residential-style areas across multiple maps. Common locations include apartment complexes on Dam Battlegrounds or the Grandiso Apartments in Buried City.
That said, Stella Montis itself offers several chances to find a Portable TV-and you may not even need to leave the Cultural Archives.
When searching for a Portable TV, focus on:
Shelves and cabinets
Chairs and small furniture
Edges of rooms where trinkets and valuables tend to spawn
Portable TVs are considered general loot, so their exact spawn location can vary from raid to raid. However, many players have reported finding them inside the Cultural Archives, sometimes during the same run used to retrieve the movie tapes. This makes it possible to complete both objectives in a single stop if you're lucky.
Take your time looting the perimeter of the Archives, but remain alert. The longer you stay, the greater the chance that enemies-or other Raiders-will show up.
Extracting Safely
Once you've collected both the old movie tapes and a Portable TV, your only remaining task is to extract successfully. This is where many players fail the quest, especially after attracting attention in cheap ARCR Coins the Cultural Archives.
